Hummus is great with everything, hummus on toast, hummus and pita…the list goes on. Make your own hummus with an extra dose of powerful greens!
Top tip: It’s super important to cook the chickpeas before blending as this helps to give you a smooth texture!
- 1 can of drained chickpeas
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp GREEN SALT.
- 3 tbsp tahini
- 1 Lemon
- Add the chickpeas and baking powder to a saucepan and cover with boiling water. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Drain and rinse in cool water to reduce temperature
- Once cooled add chickpeas to the blender/ food processor with olive oil, GREEN SALT. tahini and the juice of a lemon.
- Blend until smooth
