These are SO yummy, zesty and uplifting and the perfect go-to snack to have to hand to grab on a busy jam-packed day

Why the turmeric? Turmeric contains magical nutrients…the kind that practically cast spells to keep you strong and healthy! I am adding it to everything I can at the moment to help protect my health with its’s anti-inflammatory and a super strong anti-oxidant properties.

This recipe was created by Louise Murray Health Coach and Mindfulness Teacher. We’ve been working with her the last couple of weeks and she’s created some delicious recipes for us. Check her out!

The Ingredients:

12 pitted Medjool dates
1 cup rolled oats
½ cup almonds or cashews (preferably activated overnight by soaking in water)
4 Tbsp chia seeds
1 Tbsp coconut oil (to help absorption of curcumin – the active compound in turmeric)
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp ‘Sprinkle some CALM.
2 Tbsp shredded coconut for dusting

The Method:

  1. Pop everything in a food processor, blitz till dough like.
  2. Roll into balls.
  3. Refrigerate till firm.
  4. Dust with shredded coconut.
