because we need it
We are Phoebe & Ollie – a husband & wife team who started FOGA.
With busy city lives, we found we were too busy to eat as healthily as we wanted to and we were really fed up with the number of healthwashed products our there. We knew we weren’t the only ones, so we set out to change things.
We’re on a mission to make natural nutrition mainstream and to nourish people with real foods, not supplements. We think that our food system is broken, and we want to fix it.
This is how we look at the world. Why we think the world needs another smoothie brand.
Plants are the secret to good nutrition. It’s as simple as more plants, feel better – and yet only 25% of us get our five a day. Health is not about deprivation, it’s about nourishment.
We’re here to make it easier for you to nourish your body naturally, so you can feel your best every day.
We couldn’t find plant powered products that weren’t stupidly expensive. Most “healthy” smoothies are all juice and no fibre and some have more sugar than a doughnut.
We create whole plant (lower sugar, higher fibre) smoothies and sell direct to customers to keep the price down.
Our food system creates an unforgiveable amount of waste – and most of it happens in the home. We throw out 7 million tonnes of food every year.
Freeze drying preserves nutritious plants perfectly, meaning a healthy diet doesn’t have to mean wasted brown fruit & veg.
Its not just quantity of plants that matters, its variety and quality too. Thanks to big food companies, 80% of our diets are made up of 4 ingredients (wheat, meat, soy & corn).
We want to help people aim for 30 different fruit and veg a week, because diversity is queen.
Big Bad Food
Big food are selling us products that aren’t what they seem. We’d know – Phoebe used to work there. Food shouldn’t be made of mouthfeel enhancers, stabilisers and preservatives.
We use simple processes, and nothing artificial, to help naturally nutritious foods fit into busy lives.
Convenience Health Tax
Convenient foods don’t have to be unhealthy. Nourishing foods don’t need to be a life choice. We’re fed up with the convenience health tax.
We want to create truly convenient, truly nourishing, natural products at sensible prices.
